Stevenson, Levy net 5th shutout

Another girls soccer match, another shutout for Stevenson.

Courtney Levy recorded her fifth shutout in as many games, as the Patriots blanled Vernon Hills 3-0 on Tuesday.

Stevenson (2-0-3) has not allowed a goal this season.

Katie Krejsa had a goal and 2 assists for the Patriots. Nicole Sodomier recorded a goal and an assist, and Jo Jo Kurth also scored.

Carmel 2, Fenwick 1: Kassidy Brown scored both goals for the undefeated Corsairs in the East Suburban Catholic Conference match.

Lauren Lehman had an assist, while keeper Maddie Allen made 11 saves for Carmel (7-0, 2-0), which allowed a goal for the first time this season.

Warren 2, Lake Forest 2: Kirstin Taylor and Sky Anslem scored for host Warren, which led the North Suburban Lake Division match 2-1 at halftime.

Megan Kilroy assisted on Taylor's goal. Keeper Amanda Macuiba stopped 9 shots for Warren (1-4-2, 0-0-2).

Antioch 2, Round Lake 0: Katrina Holm and Molly Brooke scored in the second half for the Sequoits in the North Suburban Prairie Division match.

Mallory Fracek and Holm had assists, while Katie Budd made 4 saves in earning the shutout.

It was the first win of the season for Antioch (1-3-2).

Wauconda 2, Grant 0: Kristina Durante and Hannah Voyta scored for host Wauconda, which led the North Suburban Prairie Division game 1-0 at intermission.

Melanie Prudhomme and Aimee Prudhomme each had an assist for Wauconda (2-3-1-). Becky Breakfield notched the shutout in goal.

Grayslake Central 1, CL Central 0: The Rams recorded their seventh straight win and fourth shutout of the season in the Fox Valley Fox Division opener.

Megan LeBaron scored her eighth goal help Grayslake Central improve to 7-2.

Kat Dickson notched the shutout in goal.

Huntley 1, Grayslake North 0: Keeper Brooke Sauer had 8 saves, as the Knights (4-4) dropped their Fox Valley Fox Division opener.

"I could not be more proud of our effort," Grayslake North coach Adam DeCaluwe said. "The girls showed a lot of character and determination in their fight for every ball, every possession and every aspect of tonight's game. We had great games and great effort from several of our defenders - freshmen Katie McGrath, Katie Lahera and Hannah Mitchem, and junior Megan McHugh - as Huntley kept them under pressure for the large majority of the game."

Lakes 7, North Chicago 0: Ashley Chernich scored twice for the Eagles, who improved to 4-2 overall and 2-0 in the North Suburban Prairie Division.

Lakes also got goals from Rebecca Hill, Ashley Neubeck, Alyssa Baker, Sarah Bartlett and Sarah Steffen. Brittany Mooney added 2 assists.

Goalie Sarah Fitzpatrick notched her third shutout.

Mundelein 2, Libertyville 0: Molly Rohan and Michelle Rowley scored second-half goals for the Mustangs (5-3-1).

Rohan put Mundelein on the board in the 45th minute, after passes from Ashley Begrowicz and Abbey Ekstrom. Kim Carroll assisted Rowley in the 72nd minute.

Nicole Allen recorded 6 saves in earning the shutout.

Lake Zurich 4, Zion-Benton 0: Hailey Chmela, Stacey Sanders, Sarah Stauner and Maisie Cox scored for the visiting Bears in North Suburban Lake Division action.

Gina McCoy and Allison Zurawski added assists, while Maggie Eisenhuth picked up her third shutout for Lake Zurich (4-3-2, 1-0-1).
