Lake Co. fundraisers

Events that raise money for some type of charity, including galas, golf outings, rummage sales, shopping events, fashion shows, picnics and sport nights. Deadline is two weeks before event date.

April 1

Silent Auction: Through 9 p.m. Monday, April 27, Indian Trails Public Library, 355 S. Schoenbeck Road, Wheeling. The Foundation for the Indian Trails Public Library District will host a silent auction for the public. Items include a round of golf for four, restaurant gift certificates, tickets to local entertainment establishments and health/fitness prizes. All proceeds benefit The Foundation. April 2

NAMI fundraiser: 5-8 p.m. Thursday, April 2, Wendy's restaurant, 100 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. A portion of the proceeds from all sales will benefit NAMI Northwest.

April 3

St. Joseph the Worker Friday fish fry: 4-8 p.m. April 3, 181 W. Dundee Road, Wheeling. All you can eat fist fry includes choice of potato, coleslaw and rye bread. Shrimp dinners, salad bar and soup also available. (847) 537-2740.

Clothing resale: 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday, April 3; 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, April 4, Barrington United Methodist Church, 98 Algonquin Road, Barrington. Proceeds benefit local missions. Donations of clothing will be accepted from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday, March 30; 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, March 31 and April 1; and 9 a.m.-noon Thursday, April 2. Spaghetti dinner: AMVETS Post 66, 700 McHenry Road, Wheeling. Wheeling Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association host fundraiser for the Wheeling Police Department. All you can eat spaghetti, salad and garlic bread. $7; free for children age 5 and under.

It Can Be Done: Mondays and Tuesdays, Francesca's Intimo, 293 E Illinois Road, Lake Forest. Francesca's Intimo has agreed to donate 15 percent of patrons' bills to the nonprofit organization It Can Be Done! on Mondays and Tuesdays if the customer mentions the organization to a restaurant employee. The proceeds will benefit the purchasing of a drill to construct wells throughout the 12 villages of Uru on Mount Kilimanjaro, providing the 30,000 people living there with freshwater.
