March 25

Giggles and Bits: 7 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, March 25 and 26, The Black Box Theater at Warren Township High School, Almond Road Campus, 34090 Almond Road, Gurnee. Student-run comedy troupe Giggles and Bits will performing its final improv shows of the school year. Tickets are $3 at the door. Proceeds go to charity.

Fundraiser: Wednesday, March 25, and Monday though Wednesday, March 30 to April 1. Congregation Beth Judea will hold a Shop & Share Days fundraising drive at all Jewel-Osco stores. Present a Shop & Share identification slip at the time of purchase and Jewel-Osco will donate 5 percent of all purchases to the Congregation Beth Judea general fund. Ice Cream Fundraiser: Noon to 8:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, March 28 and 29, KaleidoScoops, 1036 Weiland Road, Buffalo Grove. Like New Spring and Summer Clothing resale: 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday, April 3; 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, April 4, Barrington United Methodist Church, 98 Algonquin Road, Barrington. All types of spring and summer clothing at rummage sale prices. Donations of clothing will be accepted from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday March 30; 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday March 31 and Wednesday, April 1; and 9 a.m.-noon Thursday, April 2. (847) 836-5540.

It Can Be Done: Mondays and Tuesdays, Francesca's Intimo, 293 E Illinois Road, Lake Forest. Francesca's Intimo has agreed to donate 15 percent of patrons' bills to the nonprofit organization It Can Be Done! on Mondays and Tuesdays if the customer mentions the organization to a restaurant employee. The proceeds will benefit the purchasing of a drill to construct wells throughout the 12 villages of Uru on Mount Kilimanjaro, providing the 30,000 people living there with freshwater. Busy Brains fundraiser: Wednesdays in March, Mickey Finn's Brewery, 412 N. Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville. Each Wednesday night in March, if a patron mentions Busy Brains Children's Museum, Mickey Finn's will donate 15 percent of their total to the museum.
