March 4

Whole Planet Foundation Benefit: 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, Whole Foods Market, 760 Waukegan Road, Deerfield. Benefit dinner inspired by the cuisine of Central America, for the Whole Planet Foundation, a nonprofit organization that "seeks to empower individuals in a global community through entrepreneurship." Festa della Donna: 7 p.m. Thursday, March 5, Enzo & Lucia Ristorante, 343 Old McHenry Road, Long Grove. Three-course Italian dinner, fashion show, and a discussion on historically significant accomplishments by women in honor of International Women's Day. There will be a cash bar. Rock and Roll fundraiser: 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 7, AMVETS Post 66 Hall, 700 McHenry Road, Wheeling. The band Way Past Curfew will play to help the Wheeling High School Jazz Band raise money for their trip to the Montreaux Jazz Fest this summer. Adults Only Event will include both silent and live auctions. The $15 admission fee ($20 at the door) includes light appetizers and desserts.

St. Mary of the Annunciation Auction Night: 6:30 p.m. Saturday, March 7, Crowne Plaza Hotel, 510 E. Route 83, Mundelein. Dinner, open bar, silent and live auction, raffle and entertainment. It Can Be Done: Mondays and Tuesdays, Francesca's Intimo, 293 E Illinois Road, Lake Forest. Francesca's Intimo has agreed to donate 15 percent of patrons' bills to the nonprofit organization It Can Be Done! on Mondays and Tuesdays if the customer mentions the organization to a restaurant employee. The proceeds will benefit the purchasing of a drill to construct wells throughout the 12 villages of Uru on Mount Kilimanjaro, providing the 30,000 people living there with freshwater.
