Craft shows, bazaars, rummage sales, farmers markets. Deadline is two weeks before event date.

Feb. 28

EXPO 2009: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 28 and March 1, Wauconda High School, 555 N. Main St., Wauconda. Over 65 crafters and exhibitors will be on hand, with passport registration and St. Baldrick's Foundation on Feb. 28. Sponsored by American Legion Post 911 and the Wauconda Chamber of Commerce. For the Kids Auction: 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, Ivanhoe Country Club, 28846 North Thorngate Drive, Mundelein. Keepsake quilt: Finished quilt squares due at 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, Indian Trails Public Library District, 355 S. Schoenbeck Road, Wheeling. Celebrate the Indian Trails Public Library's 50th Anniversary by helping make a keepsake quilt to hang in the library. March 7

Spring fashion and gift show: The Schaumburg High School VIP Club invites vendors to participate in its Spring Fashion & Gift Show on March 7. They are seeking a variety of offerings such as jewelry, candles, handbags, accessories, fragrances, skin care as well as unique and whimsical gift ideas. 50 spaces are available. Two fashion shows will also be held during the event, featuring spring apparel and prom fashions sponsored by local retailers. Fremd High School Spring Boutique: 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, March 7, William Fremd High School, 1000 S. Quentin Road, Palatine. Over 180 crafters offering quality merchandise in a variety of media. Hosted by the Fremd Boosters Club, proceeds benefit sports programs and student organizations. Free parking and admission.

Kirk School Spring Showcase of Arts and Crafts: 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, March 7 and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, March 8, at the school, 520 S. Plum Grove Road, Palatine. Over 95 exhibitor booths in a variety of media. Entertainment, door prizes, cafe, bake sale. Spring and Summer Clothing ReSale: 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, April 3 and 9 a.m. to noon. Saturday, April 4, Barrington United Methodist Church, 98 Algonquin Road, Barrington. Sale will feature spring and summer clothing, jackets, swimwear, accessories, shoes and sandals for adults and children. On Saturday, shoppers can take advantage of a bag sale, allowing shoppers to buy all that they can fit into either a $3 or a $5 bag. Proceeds will go toward local missions.
