Feb. 7

Red Cross Babysitting Certification: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7 and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 8. Reed-Turner Woodland, 3849 Old McHenry Road, Long Grove. Ages 11-15 can receive information and skills necessary to provide safe care for children. Upon completion, participants will receive a Red Cross Babysitting Certificate. Feb. 13

Beginning Hoop Dance: 9:15-10:10 a.m. Wednesdays, Feb. 25 to April 1, Grayslake Park District Rec Center, 240 Commerce Drive, Grayslake. A fusion of dance and exercise using specially sized and slightly weighted hoops which targets core muscles, while using the entire body. No prior dance experience required. Hoops will be provided. Immunization Clinics for Children: 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Mondays; 1-3 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays; 1-6 p.m. Thursdays; and 9-11 a.m. the second Saturday of each month, Lake County Health Department Belvidere Medical Building Annex, 2303 Dodge Avenue, Waukegan. Children can receive all routine childhood immunizations. The cost of an immunization is $10, but no one is denied services due to inability to pay. Parents are asked to bring their children's past immunization records. If a child has an immunization letter from a school nurse, it should also be brought to the clinic. No appointment necessary.
