Taize service: Church of the Holy Apostles in Wauconda will offer a church service in the style of Taize at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30. This service is offered every fifth Friday of a month. By combining funny anecdotes, uplifting stories and a bit of cartooning, Kotecki shares biblically based principles and real-world techniques to help you to uncover God's great purpose and gain peace of mind. Clothes for the needy: Clothing in sizes ranging from infant to size 16 boys and girls is available the second Saturday of each month from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at St. Andrew Episcopal Church's "Elijah's Mantle for Children in Need" community service project, located at 31 Park Ave., Grayslake. Next dates are: Feb. 14, March 14, April 11, May 9, June 13, July 11, Aug. 8, Sept. 12, Oct. 10, Nov. 14 and Dec. 12. There is no cost.
