Jan. 10

Youth Indoor Soccer League: Leagues start at 9 a.m., with specific times based on age level, Saturdays, Jan. 10 to Feb. 28, Carl Sandburg Middle School, 855 W. Hawley St., Mundelein. For boys and girls, ages 4 to 12. Includes clinics held Jan. 10 and 17. Leagues begin Jan. 24. Cost is $60 for Mundelein residents, $90 for nonresidents. Boys Basketball League: Player evaluations will take place at 9 a.m. for grades 3-4, 10 a.m. for grade 5-6, and 11 a.m. for grades 7-8, Saturday, Jan. 10, at Millburn West School, 640 Freedom Way, Lindenhurst. All players must be registered prior to evaluations. Games times will vary with a possible one practice during the week. The league starts on Jan. 24 and runs to March 14. Volunteer coaches needed. Public Swim: 3-5 p.m. Sundays through March 15 (except Jan. 18, Feb. 15, or March 1), Deerfield High School pool, 1959 N. Waukegan Road, Deerfield. The public can swim for relaxation, exercise and fun. Upon request, the park district will set up a lane line for adult lap swim. Cost is $3 per person (children 5 and under free). Equipment collection: Hadassah North Shore office, 1724 First St., Highland Park. The Chai Group of Hadassah North Shore Chapter will be collecting items for the Young Judea Camp Midwest this Hannukah season, including all kinds of balls, golf putters, arts and crafts supplies, kayaks, sailboats, life jackets, whistles, outdoor CD players, lightweight speakers and other items.
