Oct. 11

Used Book Sale: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, Cook Library Storage Facility at 204/206 Terrace Drive, Mundelein. Cook Library is downsizing its storage facility and needs to empty out the Friends of Library's used books. Ten Thousand Villages bazaar and presentation: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, First Presbyterian Church of Libertyville, 219 W. Maple Ave. Libertyville. International handicrafts bazaar featuring goods from Ten Thousand Villages, a program that benefits artisans in developing countries. Sale items include Christmas ornaments and accessories, musical instruments, wood and stone carvings, toys, jewelry, textiles, baskets, coffee, candies and more. A presentation will be held at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. featuring volunteer Pamela Bridges, who recently returned from a learning tour in El Salvador and Guatemala. ARTcetera Gallery fall art sale: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14 and Wednesday, Oct. 15 at College of Lake County's ARTcetera Gallery, adjacent to the Robert T. Wright Community Gallery of Art in the Library/Learning Resource Center at the Grayslake campus, 19351 W.
