Lake County Opera Meetup Group: Noon Saturday, Oct. 11, Regal Lincolnshire 20 Theatre, 300 Parkway Drive, Lincolnshire. Opera lovers are invited to join the Lake County Opera Meetup Group to enjoy a high-definition live videocast of the New York Metropolitan Opera in a performance of Strauss' "Salome." Watercolor Workshop, Glorious Autumn: Noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19, Brushwood at Ryerson Woods, located near Deerfield on Riverwoods road between Half Day Road and Deerfield Road. Local artist and retired College of Lake County instructor Daniel Ziembo will provide a study on the art of sketching visual notes.
