Teen Dating Violence Forum: 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, Gurnee Community Church, 4555 Old Grand Ave., Gurnee. A free forum titled "Teen Dating Violence: What Every Adult Should Know" will help participants recognize unhealthy relationships and stop them before they start. Warning signs, tips for adults and community resources will be provided. This event is free and open to the public. Registration is required and space is limited. Ten Thousand Villages bazaar and presentation: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, First Presbyterian Church of Libertyville, 219 W. Maple Ave. Libertyville. International handicrafts bazaar featuring goods from Ten Thousand Villages, a program that benefits artisans in developing countries. Sale items include Christmas ornaments and accessories, musical instruments, wood and stone carvings, toys, jewelry, textiles, baskets, coffee, candies and more. A presentation will be held at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. featuring volunteer Pamela Bridges, who recently returned from a learning tour in El Salvador and Guatemala. The ADHD Roundtable OUNDTABLE will presents "Nutritional and Medical Issues Related to ADHD." This free presentation provides an overview of the affects of nutrition, allergens and medical issues related to ADHD. The presenter, Dr. Robert Boxer is a medical expert in the field allergy and immunology. Many women fought against getting the vote but none with more charm and less logic than the fictional speaker in "Someone Must Wash the Dishes: An Anti-Suffrage Monologue," a satirical monologue written in 1912. A World of Stories: Paris Gibson of Zion, Nancy McConnell, formerly of Round Lake, and Mary Dunn of Libertyville are among writers whose stories are included in "A World of Stories," an anthology containing their illustrated children's story. Each story in the collection has as its theme a nondenominational international holiday. Half the revenues generated from sales of the anthology will be donated to Rotary District 5020 to support literacy projects around the world.
