• The Roselle Chamber of Commerce & Industry is offering graduating high school seniors from Roselle the opportunity to receive a scholarship for vocational or business school, college or university. Applications must be received by Monday.
Two $1,750 scholarships will be awarded in May for the 2008-09 school year. Graduating seniors and their parents can pick up scholarship applications in the guidance counselor's offices at Lake Park West, Conant, Driscoll, Wheaton Academy and St. Francis, as well as the village of Roselle, Roselle Public Library and the Roselle Chamber of Commerce.
To qualify, students must reside in Roselle, enter school the fall of 2008 and have at least a C average in high school. The scholarship committee will also consider financial need, leadership qualities, community involvement and how their education will benefit the public as communicated in a short essay.
