Creating Sacred Space: Dealing with Grief During the Holidays

Creating Sacred Space: Dealing with Grief During the Holidays is a Wellness Ministry program sponsored by Ivanhoe Congregational Church, United Church of Christ. It will be held on Monday, November 20, at 7 pm at the church located at 21078 W. Route 176 in Mundelein. Please enter the church through the back door for easiest access to the Fellowship Hall.

Join an Advocate facilitator for an interactive session of remembering and honoring lost loved ones this holiday season. We will discuss the presence of grief as it travels with us long after the loss. Creating a "new normal" is not easy, but necessary. We will share stories and memories, and find creative ways of coping with peace, love and comfort.

Please bring a treasured photo of your loved one. Together we will embrace the reality of loss and inspire the space we need throughout the holiday season. You will leave with a candle, an ornament and a sense of direction.

Ivanhoe Congregational Church is the oldest organized church in Lake County established in 1838. For additional information, call 847-566-5204 or visit www.ivanhoechurch.org.
