Danish Lutheran pastor to speak of conversion, evangelism

On Sunday, July 30, St. James Episcopal Church, 516 Washington St. in West Dundee, will welcome the Rev. Massoud Fouroozandeh.

During a special forum after the 10 a.m. service, he will share his conversion story and share his perspective on ISIS, terrorism, and the current political situation in the Middle East.

Massoud was a Muslim from Iran growing up under the Shah of Iran. He fled Iran at the age of 15 after the Iranian revolution and immigrated to Denmark.

He had a conversion experience and became a follower of Jesus Christ. He was ordained in the Evangelical Church in Denmark, where he has planted churches, written four books, and shares his faith with other immigrants fleeing the war and terrorism of the Middle East.

St. James Episcopal Church has been welcoming all people since 1864 through ministry and mission to the northern Fox Valley community.

On Sunday, worship includes Holy Eucharist at 8 a.m. and Holy Eucharist with Music at 10 a.m. There is a nursery available at 10 a.m.
