Lively Liquors store manager Rich Robertson sells a lottery ticket Thursday to John Masciola, who works across the street from the store at 1170 E. Higgins in Elk Grove Village. A $1 million winning ticket was sold there in the Mega Millions drawing Wednesday night.

The Marcus Addison Cinema welcomed it's first movie goers since November, Neal Gatlin and his girlfriend Alexis Burns, both 17 and from Elmhurst. "Burns commented, "I'm excited, just wanted something fun to do." Gatlin said, "There has been nothing to do."

J.J. Brault, 8, of Arlington Heights hauls bagged food into the First Presbyterian Church in Arlington Heights as part of their third annual food drive that benefits the Wheeling Township Food Pantry. The food was bought and donated by Denise Beihoffer of Arlington Heights who stopped at her local Jewel and dropped 200 dollars to feed the families that are less fortunate in the area. Beihoffer said "It's a very easy way to support our community. This is the first time I have donated to the church although I have donated before to the food pantry. I am praying for them. I feel for them and I do anything I can to help."

Hundreds of first responders and medical personal filed into the Lake County Fairgrounds to get either their first or second COVID-19 vaccinations. The first in line to get her second shot was Edith Jones Odem, of Beach Park. The shots were administered by the Lake County Health Department and Community Health Center on Tuesday morning.
