Celebrate 'Help a Horse Day' Saturday

In celebration of the fourth annual ASPCA Help a Horse Day, the Illinois Equine Humane Center, 45W050 Beith Road in Maple Park, is offering a special all-day farm event on Saturday, April 23. There will be lots of fun activities on tap, so please join them for all or part of the day.

A Tack Sale will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., followed by pony rides, bouncy horse races, other fun activities from 4 to 7 p.m.

The 2015 film "Black Beauty" will be shown at 7 p.m. It is rated PG, suitable for most children. Great movie which extols the importance of animal welfare and volunteerism.

Tickets for the evening event are $20, $10 for age 16 and under. It includes: Movie ticket, popcorn, candy, and beverage! Please bring your own blanket or chair.
