Local nonprofits partner for consumer debt seminar
The Elgin nonprofits Administer Justice and Centro de Informacion are offering a free bilingual seminar on consumer debt from 5 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 20.
The presentation will be conducted by Administer Justice attorney Pamela Tan at Centro de Informacion, 28 N. Grove Ave., Suite 200, Elgin.
Topics covered will include legal rights of consumers regarding credit cards, payday loans, auto loans and dealing with debt collectors. After the seminar, attendees will be provided with referrals and additional resources to assist them with consumer debt issues. No registration is required.
