Girl Scout Troop 383 donates paintings to Cancer Care Center

Members of Girl Scout Troop 383 from South Elgin visited the Cancer Care Center at Advocate Sherman Hospital on Dec. 21 to donate artwork they created.

The paintings will now be hung throughout the facility.

"Everyone has been touched by cancer in one way or another," Troop Leader Denise Sample said. "This is an amazing group of girls who enjoy helping other people."

Group members include girls with parents or family members who have been treated, or who work or volunteer, at Sherman Hospital.
