Enjoy music and support neighbors in need at “A Gift of Love,” a musical performance to benefit the Algonquin/Lake in the Hills Interfaith Food Pantry. The concert will be at 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, at Cambridge Lakes Charter School’s Green School, 900 Wester Blvd., Pingree Grove.
The featured performers will be the Cambridge Lakes Voices Ensemble, violinist Dorothy Shaw and the debut of two new performing groups — Lil’ Howlers and the Northern Kane Community Choir.
Admission will be the donation of a nonperishable food item. Current needs include: tomato products, such as paste, diced, or spaghetti sauce; boxed pasta; peanut butter; pancake mix and syrup; canned fruit (mixed fruit or pineapple); tuna; or macaroni and cheese.
There also will be a freewill offering with 100 percent of proceeds going to the food pantry. The suggested donation is $5 per person or $10 per family.
