Wheaton College Celebrates “My Hope with Billy Graham” November 7

In celebration of the 95th birthday of Wheaton College alumnus Billy Graham ’43, the Institute of Strategic Evangelism of the Billy Graham Center at Wheaton College presents the evangelistic film "Defining Moments" at 7 p.m. Thursday, November 7.

Members of the community are invited to bring friends who would like to know more about the Christian faith.

The 29-minute film highlights the life-changing power of the gospel in the lives of NFL player David Tyree, illusionist Jim Munroe and singer/songwriter Lacey Sturm. The film is part of “My Hope with Billy Graham,” a nationwide effort to reach people across the United States with the gospel of Jesus Christ through evangelistic programs featuring life-changing testimonies and powerful messages from Billy Graham.

“We can hardly think of a better way to celebrate Rev. Graham’s birthday than with an evangelistic event for our community,” says Chris Castaldo, director of the Ministry of Gospel Renewal for the Billy Graham Center at Wheaton College. “We are encouraging and equipping students, faculty, staff, and groups from local churches to bring non-Christian friends to see the film.”

The screening is free and open to the public. It will be held in Barrows Auditorium, located in the east wing of the Billy Graham Center at 500 College Avenue in Wheaton. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Two follow-up sessions with the theme “Knowing Jesus” will take place November 12 and 19 from 7 to 8 p.m. in the Wilson Suite, located on the fourth floor of the Billy Graham Center. These sessions will provide next steps for people who are newly committed to Christ.
