Camacho struck out four without a walk and allowed 3 hits, all singles. Greg Grana picked up the only RBI for Palatine in the top of the seventh.
Elk Grove scored once in the fifth, and once in the sixth.
Refka allowed 4 hits and struck out three as Palatine fell to 12-9-1 overall and 7-3 in the MSL.
Matt Wary had the game's only extra-base hit, a run-scoring double. Mikey Maize drove in the other run for Elk Grove (16-6, 8-2).
Fremd 7, Wheeling 2: Jack Miller earned a win with a 5-inning relief stint as visiting Fremd started the game with a 4-run first inning and finished it with a 3-run seventh.
None of the runs allowed by Wheeling starter Nathan Cooney were earned, and he struck out nine. The Wildcats (6-12, 2-8) got a 2-run double from Angelo DeBlasio in the sixth inning.
