Main Street Opera to hold auditions

Main Street Opera is excited to announce auditions for our 2013 - 2014 season! The season will feature a double bill of Puccini's Suor Angelica and Gianni Schicchi, as well as many concert opportunities throughout the year. Performances of Suor Angelia/ Gianni Schicchi will be September 20, 22, 27, and 28, with the potential for more performances to follow at other locations. Rehearsals for the operas will begin on August 10. We are casting all roles and covers. All singers will be paid a small stipend.

All auditions are by appointment only. To schedule an audition, please submit the following to emilygbecker@gmail.com:

- Headshot

- Resume

- Recording (if available)

- preferred audition location and time

Deadlines for materials will be April 14, 2013. Singers granted an audition will be notified via email.

Auditions will be held over two weekends in Arlington Heights and Chicago:

St. Michael's in Old Town

First Presbyterian Church

302 N Dunton Ave, Arlington Heights, IL 60004 April 27, 10am - 5pm

If auditioning for a leading role, please bring 3 pieces - one must be in Italian, and preferably from one of the operas. Those auditioning for ensemble and smaller roles may bring two pieces - one in a foreign language of your choosing.
