Local Cary author publishes debut mystery novel

Local Cary author Patricia Childers has published her debut novel, "Don't Call Me Daughter." The book is a mystery involving Chicago Police Detective, Ella Flynn, who is summoned to her father's hometown in Georgia when he dies. When an autopsy reveals his death was a homicide, she joins the investigation.

"The novel is Book One of the Bassett Hound Chronicles, with a second book to follow in early 2023," Childers said. "Walter, the Bassett Hound her father left her, figures prominently in the book, as does Jackson Lee Armstrong, the local funeral director."

"Don't Call Me Daughter" has only been out a week, and has already garnered 5 Star reviews on Amazon. It is available on Kindle, as a paperback, and in hardcover from Amazon.com and other retailers. For a signed copy, contact Ms. Childers at pat@pj-childers.com.
