Leadership Greater McHenry County names summer 2021 interns

Leadership Greater McHenry County recently announced the selection of participants for the Summer 2021 LGMC Nonprofit Leadership Intern Program.

The program allows college students to explore the career potential that exists within the nonprofit sector while developing management and leadership skills.

Six interns, all McHenry County residents, were selected through a competitive application and interview process.

The students include: Alison Davis, University of Minnesota Twin Cities, Grace Goehring, University of Kansas, Jordyn Knox, University of Kentucky, Kirsten Morey, Central Michigan University, Hannah Ritter, University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, and Clare Ryan, University of Minnesota Twin Cities.

The interns are matched with participating McHenry County nonprofit organizations based on interests, skills, and the host's specific needs.

Host organizations for 2021 include: Family Health Partnership Clinic, Home of the Sparrow, Leadership Greater McHenry County, New Directions Addiction and Recovery, Senior Care Volunteer Network, and United Way of Greater McHenry County.

The Leadership Greater McHenry County is a leadership organization fostering and developing community leaders through focused, experiential programs.
