Rep. Weber Sponsors Season of Giving Virtual Blood Drive; Give the Gift of Life This Year

FOX LAKE - State Representative Tom Weber (R-Lake Villa) is partnering with Vitalant to sponsor a "Season of Giving Virtual Blood Drive" for the month of December. Rather than a single day event, prospective donors are encouraged to schedule an appointment anytime during the month of December at Vitalant's donation centers in Crystal Lake or Gurnee.

"Coronavirus has caused the cancelation of traditional walk-in blood drives and we are facing a shortage of blood," said Weber. "Through our virtual blood drive with Vitalant, you choose the time that works best for you to donate and it will be setup on an appointment only basis to ensure a safe environment for all donors. Please consider giving the gift of life through blood donation this holiday season."

To ensure the safety of blood donors in light of COVID-19, donors will need to sign-up for appointments using a special link: https://bit.ly/3qqDzpl. Using the link, register online and then you will receive a registration link to schedule your appointment for the date, time and location that works best for you.
