Matching Grant Opportunity Doubles Gifts to BACOA

The Barrington Area Council on Aging is participating in Giving Tuesday, December 3, 2019. The international day of philanthropy is the official launch of the holiday giving season, with non-profit organizations seeking local support for their missions.

"When community members make a gift to BACOA they are providing family support to many seniors that have none, said Terri Channer, Executive Director of BACOA. We offer a variety of programs and services that permit older adults to safely navigate aging while living life on their terms."

Giving Tuesday contributions can be made online at www.ilgive.com/organizations/barrington-area-council-on-aging or via checks made payable to the BACOA, 6000 Garlands Lane, Suite 100 Barrington, IL 60010.

BACOA has been offered a $5,000 matching grant from The Retirement Research Foundation for any gifts made between Nov. 26 and Dec. 10, 2019. Gifts made during this timeframe have a larger impact, as BACOA prepares to serve the growing older adult population in the Northwest suburbs.
