Magnificat prayer breakfast Oct. 19 to feature inspiring story
On Saturday, Oct. 19, join the McHenry Chapter of Magnificat for an inspiring exploration of the need to surrender all aspects of your life to God.
The morning also will include a buffet breakfast from Brunch Cafe and vibrant praise and worship music.
Keynote speaker for this breakfast is Sister Kateri Cahill from the Disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ. When Sister Kateri was 4 years old, she was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor requiring the surgical removal of her eye. Even with the surgery her prognosis was not good. For the next eight years, her life was filled with a barrage of doctor appointments and surgeries.
During this time, Sr. Kateri's parents instilled in her the essential importance of her Catholic faith. When she was 19, God revealed Himself to her in a deep and personal way. Eventually she recognized that the Lord was calling her to religious life with the Disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ. Come hear her moving story.

The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church Parish Hall, 10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. Seating is at 8:30 a.m.
Tickets are $30. Order them by Saturday, Oct. 5, for $20. Seating is limited.
