First Fridays Concert Series with McHenry County Conservation District

Sit back and enjoy a summer evening of musical entertainment with Fox Crossing Stringband from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, on the back patio of the Lost Valley Visitor Center in Glacial Park, Route 31 and Harts Road in Ringwood.

Fox Crossing Stringband is a four-piece all-female bluegrass band from Chicago who just released their debut album, "Box of Memories." These foxes are ready to fill the evening with their charming blend of sweet and strong sounds from their original songs that blend traditional and newgrass, jamgrass, and fun country-twang rock with the help of their acoustic instruments.

Bring a picnic dinner or dessert and a lawn chair and enjoy our intimate outdoor setting under the branches of ancient oaks with stunning views of the outstretched valley.

In the case of inclement weather, concerts will be moved indoors. No glass containers are allowed. Site closes at 9 p.m.

Registration is not required. For more information call Prairieview Education Center, (815) 479-5779 or visit www.MCCDistrict.org.
