Operation Wild Horse to hold Wild Horse Fair Aug. 10

A Wild Horse Fair is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, at Beyond Stable Farms, 11129 Route 176, Woodstock.

The fair includes all things horses, i.e Western, dressage, jumping, ground work, Liberty, roping, barrel racing, trick riding, musical freestyles and demonstrations.

Operation Wild Horse is a Veterans Release and Relief Program that teaches veterans and military families about care of wild mustang horses, as well as horsemanship and riding skills.

Veterans R&R was founded by veterans who know what it's like to come home after years of service and want to make the transition easier for other veterans. It works to obtain as much data as possible to connect veterans to organizations that can help them. It serves as a bridge; their point of contact which can connect them to other services.

Included in the day's fun will be a Mustang Parade, Operation Wild Horse military tribute. Attendees can meet the mustangs and see the adoptable horses and burrows.

There will be crafters, artists, barn collectables, and lawn furniture, as well as food and ice cream.

All proceeds will benefit Operation Wild Horse.
