MCCD's First Fridays concert series opens with The StingRays June 7

Sit back and enjoy a summer evening of musical entertainment with The StingRays from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, June 7, on the back patio of the Lost Valley Visitor Center in Glacial Park, Route 31 and Harts Road in Ringwood.

The StingRays play the greatest music ever written with the energy, passion and authenticity of the artists whose music they love. The music, their rapport with the audience, and the famous StingRay moves have made them repeated favorites at events throughout the Midwest. The group loves to interact with the audience through trivia, dance contests, and strolling through the audience. They are sure to have you up dancing and singing along.

Bring a picnic dinner or dessert and a lawn chair and enjoy our intimate outdoor setting under the branches of ancient oaks with stunning views of the outstretched valley.

In the case of inclement weather, concerts will be moved indoors. No glass containers are allowed. Site closes at 9 p.m.

The next First Friday Concerts will be: Jaik Willis on July 5, Georgia Rae Family Band on Aug. 2, and Fox Crossing Stringband on Sept. 6.

Registration is not required. For more information, call Prairieview Education Center, (815) 479-5779 or visit www.MCCDistrict.org.
