Writers Welcome to Participate in Synopsis Critique Session

Writers who would like to join a synopsis critique session are welcome to attend the next meeting of the American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW) Chicago Chapter from 6:30-9 p.m., Friday, March 9, in the Rasmussen Room of the Schaumburg Library, 130 S. Roselle Rd. Non-members are welcome to participate in this free session. Attendees will bring their one-page synopsis and read and comment on each other's work, guided by Chicago Chapter President Lara Helmling.

"Critique sessions are a great way to get feedback and polish your work," Helmling said. "And since some of our members are editors or multi-published authors, they can offer valuable insight. A synopsis is the first thing an editor sees after a query letter, so it's really important to get it right."

Writers of all genres are invited to the workshop, in which members and guests will share suggestions and experiences, as well as provide constructive feedback.

There is no fee or registration required for attending this ACFW meeting, and no obligation to join. For more information, go to the ACFW Chicago Chapter Facebook page or call ACFW Chicago Chapter President Lara Helmling at (877) 881-2133.
