Hanover Park Embraces Diversity And Global Nature Of Community With New Brand And Logo

Welcoming and inclusive, the Village of Hanover Park is celebrating the diversity of the community's population with a new brand and logo that incorporates the global nature of the Village. Mayor Rodney Craig and the Hanover Park Village Board announced the new brand identity and logo at last Thursday's board meeting. The announcement featured a proclamation from Mayor Craig heralding the new Hanover Park brand.

"We continue to move Hanover Park forward," said Mayor Craig. "This new brand signals that we are a family oriented, diverse and progressive community while still strongly rooted in American values."

The new logo is a multi-colored globe that represents the different cultures of the people living in Hanover Park, while emphasizing that in the United States, we come together as Americans. With over 80 different nationalities and 30 languages spoken in the Village of 38,000 people, Hanover Park is, as the new tagline says, "America's Global Village."

From a business standpoint, Hanover Park features three thriving business parks and a growing business community. The community, located west of O'Hare International Airport along I-390, is a transportation hub with 9.5 million people within 30 minutes--and easy access to global markets.

The rebranding effort, led by a5 Branding + Digital, was a key element of the Village's Strategic Plan. The process was collaborative and involved interactions with over 500 people using one-on-one interviews, online surveys and in-person surveys at community events. Using that information, the brand was developed to tell Hanover Park's individual story and set it apart from other communities in the area.

Residents will see the logo immediately on items such as Village's Facebook page, Twitter account, stationery and business cards while other items such as Village signage and uniforms being gradually phased in over time. A new Village of Hanover Park website featuring the new brand is set to launch at the end of February.

This fresh new logo is a great start for 2018, which will also see Hanover Park celebrating its 60th anniversary of incorporation. "It's going to be an exciting year for Hanover Park," stated Mayor Craig.
