Meet at the Kettle Parking Lot at Glacial Park Conservation Area, Route 31 and Harts Road, Ringwood. After the hike, gather to compare notes and tally all the species we spotted. Bring binoculars and field guides if you have them. This is a Just for Adults program, ages 14 or older.

Autumn Wildflowers on the Move:

Enjoy some of the last blooming wildflowers of the season from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, at Kishwaukee Headwaters Conservation Area, 1606 Dean St., Woodstock. Participants will hike the trail in search of these autumn wildflowers while also learning about how different plants get their seeds to disperse. Is it a Dropper? Plopper? Popper? Note: Flower picking and seed collecting is prohibited in district conservation areas unless authorized by staff. This is for all ages, 5 years and older. Anyone younger than age 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

Nature at Night - Nocturnal Animals:

Come out for a self-guided night hike on a designated trail from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1, at Brookdale - Paulson Road Shelter, 2105 Paulson Road, Woodstock. A staff member will greet you and provide you with some information about the site and what you can expect to see and hear on your hike.
