NISRA to perform 'Little Mermaid, Jr.'

Exuberant sounds of singing, dancing and acting will echo through the Cosman Theater in Huntley when young actors with disabilities perform excerpts from "Little Mermaid Jr."

The community is invited to the performances at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, or Friday, Dec. 9, at The Cosman Theater in the Huntley Park District REC Center, 12015 Mill St. in Huntley.

After practicing for 10 weeks, 25 participants in Northern Illinois Special Recreation Association theater programs will show off their acting skills in "Little Mermaid, Jr.," a shortened version of the popular musical.

All seats are general admission and tickets can be purchased at the door for $2 each.

Tickets and donations help to offset costs of the production. Spotlight Youth Theater is also assisting and donating costumes.
