June 9: Golf outing to provide funds for CLC student scholarships

The College of Lake County Foundation invites all golfers to its annual Joan Legat Memorial Golf Outing on Monday, June 9 at the Glen Flora Country Club, 2200 N. Sheridan Road, Waukegan. The event benefits the Foundation's scholarship fund. Golfers will enjoy a day filled with fun and friendly competition while helping deserving CLC students reach their educational goals.

In fiscal year 2013, the Foundation provided $454,231 in scholarships to 383 deserving CLC students. To learn more about the Foundation's current scholarship campaign "Changing Lives," visit www.clcillinois.edu/changinglives.

This year's outing will begin with registration at 10:30 a.m. and lunch at 11 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at noon, with four hole-in-one contests (two holes with $10,000 cash prizes and two holes where the prize is a new car). Opportunities for companies to sponsor a tee and green or contest are still available. At the conclusion of the 18 hole "scramble" tournament, the event will continue with cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and a silent auction, followed by an awards dinner.
