Harper students perform Charlie Brown play for day care program

The student actors in the Harper College Theatre Club performed for a much younger audience than they’re used to when they staged a collection of scenes from the musical “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” for the kids in Harper’s day care program.

The young audience laughed, cheered and sometimes even danced along as the actors performed “My Blanket and Me,” “Suppertime,” “Beethoven Day” and, of course, “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown.”

The performance came out of the club’s desire to continue performing throughout the year; they met once a week during their free time to rehearse and choreograph the production under the direction of Theatre Club sponsor and Harper College Theatre Director Kevin Long.
