Fox Valley roundup: Jacobs cruises

Jacobs 71, McHenry 60: Jacobs (16-2, 2-0) won for the 14th straight time in taking this Fox Valley Conference Valley Division game from McHenry. Conrad Krutwig scored a game-high 30 points to lead the Golden Eagles, while Nick Hofman added 13. Mike Barch and Tim Moran added 9 points each for Jacobs.

Mooseheart 63, Elgin Academy 61: Jivon McDonald's second straight 30-point game wasn't enough as Elgin Academy (3-12) fell to Mooseheart in nonconference action.

Woodstock 55, Cary-Grove 45: The Trojans (11-7, 1-2) fell to Woodstock (5-13, 1-1) in the Fox Valley (Valley). Chris Swenson led C-G with 14 points.

Hampshire 66, North Boone 45: James Goebbert scored 22 points to lead Hampshire (11-6, 4-0) to this Big Northern East win. Mike Kozenczak added 14 points for the Whip-Purs.
