Thursday's Fox Valley roundup

Ian Treacy, Matt Ehrhardt, John Kowalski and Nate Bernicchi each scored penalty kick goals as the Jacobs boys soccer team got past Woodstock North 1-0 Thursday in Fox Valley Conference action in Woodstock.

A.J. Pfatschbacher was in the goal for the Golden Eagles (5-2, 4-1) but wasn't called on to make any saves in the defensive battle.

Westminster Christian 1, Hinckley-Big Rock 1: Josh Beachler scored the Warriors' goal in this nonconference tie. Ian Dutcher had 8 saves in the net for Westminster (5-3-1).

Huntley 3, Prairie Ridge 2: Huntley came back from a 2-0 deficit to beat PR in overtime in a Fox Valley Conference match. Nikolaos Mihalopoulos, Javi Diaz and Timothy Sloma scored for the Red Raiders (4-5-1, 3-2-0) while Mihalopoulos and Kareem Rassas had assists. Kevin Montelongo made 6 saves in goal for Huntley.

CL South 6, Woodstock 1: Charlie Oliver continued his scoring terror with 4 more goals as the Gators (8-1-1, 6-0) rolled over Woodstock in the Fox Valley Conference. Alex Allmandinger and Miguel Loera also scored for CL South, which got 2 saves from Dave Walsh in the goal.

South Elgin 0, Glenbard North 0: The Storm (5-4-1) battled to a scoreless tie with Glenbard North in nonconference play. Jared Scheiler had 6 saves in goal and Andrew Perry made 8 saves for the Storm.

Dundee-Crown 3, McHenry 0: Juan Lopez scored twice and Jesus Escontrillas once as the Chargers (6-5, 4-2) notched a Fox Valley Conference shutout. Scott Nowicke had 6 saves for the Chargers.
