Harper College to host two free social media seminars

The Harper College Educational Foundation and Harper Heritage Committee of Professional Advisors will host free 45-minute seminars this month entitled “Social Networking 101: Communicating through the Cloud.”

The events will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday in Avante Center, Room Z119 and again at noon Thursday, June 23, in Building A, Room A242ab, on the college’s Palatine campus.

Mike Barzacchini, Harper’s director of marketing services, will discuss types and uses of social media, how to find and build a network while establishing a social media presence and how to avoid common pitfalls. For more information, call (847) 925-6490 or email foundation@harpercollege.edu.
