Palatine’s Harper College to host food personality Andrew Zimmern

Food personality Andrew Zimmern, host of “Bizarre Foods” and “Bizarre World” on the Travel Channel, will speak at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 28, in the Wellness and Sports Center of Harper College, 1200 W. Algonquin Road, Palatine.

The global food connoisseur’s talk, “Diversity in the Realm of Food,” will include stories from some of his food adventures while filming in Asia, Africa and South America, including an insider’s guide to the behind-the scenes production of the show.

Zimmern, who has tried everything from cow vein stew in Bolivia to giant flying ants in Uganda, won’t be sampling food or signing books. Tickets are $15, with discounts for students, seniors and staff. For tickets and information, call (847) 925-6100 or visit harpercollege.edu.
