WDCB Jazz Café Presents Tony Do Rosario and Mike Allemana Dec. 1
WDCB Jazz Café Live at the MAC! Presents Chicago jazz guitarists Tony Do Rosario and Mike Allemana at 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, in Theatre 2 at the McAninch Arts Center at College of DuPage, 425 Fawell Blvd. in Glen Ellyn.
The four-part Jazz Café series features distinctive Chicago jazz artists in an intimate setting.
Inspired by the music and stories of Nat King Cole and Dizzy Gillespie, Do Rosario began frequenting jazz clubs in Atlantic City before moving to Los Angeles where he organized jazz guitar clinics and performed at major jazz clubs. Now living in Chicago, Do Rosario headlines various city venues and teaches at the Old Town School of Folk Music.
Elmhurst native Mike Allemana became interested in jazz at age 12 when he was introduced to the music of George Benson. He studied music at Northern Illinois University under Fareed Haque and has played with a number of renowned local artists, including Lin Halliday, Von Freeman and Charles Earland. Additionally, Allemana's Organ Trio has released three albums.
Tickets to WDCB Jazz Café are $16 for adults, $14 for seniors and $6 for College of DuPage students and youth. Cabaret table seating is $18 for adults, $16 for seniors and $8 for College of DuPage students and youth.
