Elgin (13-5, 5-2) at Batavia (10-8, 5-3), 7:30 p.m.: Maroons must overcome road woes to remain in first place. Elgin is 1-4 in road games; Bulldogs have won 2 straight.

Larkin (4-17, 0-8) at St. Charles North (10-9, 5-2), 7:30 p.m.: Larkin aiming to snap 5-game skid; North Stars are coming off last week's 3-point win over rival St. Charles East.

Geneva (10-13, 5-3) at Streamwood (5-14, 1-6), 7:30 p.m.: Vikings swept Larkin and Elgin last week; Competitive Sabres took St. Charles East to OT last weekend.

Metea Valley (12-9, 3-5) at South Elgin (9-9, 3-4), 7:30 p.m.: Storm senior Sam Sutter leads the area with 18.8 points per game.; Metea Valley fresh off upset of first-place East Aurora.

Bartlett (12-13, 2-6) at East Aurora (14-4, 7-1), 7:30 p.m.: Hawks have won 2 straight over Lake Park and Waubonsie Valley; East Aurora has lost 2 straight for the first time this season.

Fox Valley (Valley)

Jacobs (11-8, 3-0) at Dundee-Crown (10-7, 2-2), 7 p.m.: Jacobs has won 17 of 30 meetings vs. rival D-C since coach Jim Hinkle arrived in 1996-97.

Big Northern (East)

Hampshire (13-4, 5-0) at Harvard (8-13, 1-5), 7 p.m.: The Whip-Purs knocked off the Hornets on Dec. 17, 58-45.

Burlington Central (10-8) at Marengo (6-15), 7 p.m.: The Rockets defeated the Indians on Dec. 17, 84-62.

Suburban Christian (Gold)

Guerin (3-13, 0-4) at St. Edward (4-14, 1-5), 7:30 p.m.: Green Wave could snap 7-game losing streak against a team they defeated on the road on Dec. 11, 58-51.

Westminster Christian (16-3, 3-1) at Rockford Christian Life (12-5, 5-1), 7:45 p.m.: The winner gains sole possession of second place in the conference.

Independent School League

University of Chicago Lab School (7-5, 5-2) at Elgin Academy (5-11, 2-6), 6 p.m.: The Maroons defeated the Hilltoppers by 31 points on Dec. 17.

Cary-Grove (8-12) at Woodstock North (2-17), 4:30 p.m.: The Trojans seek their first road victory in five tries.

Nonconference

Hampshire (13-4) at Woodstock North, 1 p.m.: The Whip-Purs hope this is the first of multiple visits to this venue, the site of March's Class 3A sectional.

Elgin at Burlington Central (10-8), 7 p.m.: The Maroons won't play in a cozier environment this year. Both teams play for the second straight night.

Hoffman Estates (4-13) at Huntley (15-4), 7 p.m.: Huntley's Marty Manning matches wits one last time against his retiring high school coach, Bill Wandro.

South Elgin at Barrington (14-6), 7 p.m.: The Broncos take a 6-game winning streak into tonight's game at Palatine.

Crystal Lake South (10-8) at Marian Central (9-12), 7:30 p.m.: Gators ended 4-game losing streak with big win over McHenry; Hurricanes are 2-4 vs. Fox Valley Conference opponents.
