ECC's 'Welcome Wednesdays':Elgin Community College offers Welcome Wednesdays the first Wednesday of each month. The sessions include an overview of the college's programs and services, a tour and an opportunity to talk with the recruitment staff. The program is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and begins in the college's Visual and Performing Arts Center, 1700 Spartan Drive, Elgin. Call (630) 482-9696, or visit spsfv.org.Wildlife center fundraiser:The Fox Valley Wildlife Center is hosting a fundraising night Thursday at Zanies Comedy Club at Pheasant Run Resort in St. Charles. Doors open at 7:15 p.m. and the event begins at 8 p.m. The night will feature Butch Bradley who has appeared numerous times on Comedy Central. Tickets are $25 and the Fox Valley Wildlife Center will receive 100 percent of the ticket sales. A two-drink minimum is required and attendees must be 21 and older. Tickets must be purchased in advance by calling Andrea at (630) 377-2847.Senior fun in Elburn:The Elburn Seniors club meets at 11:30 a.m. the first Thursday of the month at the Elburn Lions Club, 400 S. Filmore St. You do not have to live in Elburn to participate. Bring a dish to pass and your own table service. Coffee, iced tea and lemonade are provided. Cards, bingo and other games are played. Dues are $15 per year, of which $5 goes toward the annual pork chop dinner in August and $10 for a Christmas party.
