Police, professional experts to speak on bullying at Roselle church

A community forum on bullying and youth violence prevention Saturday, March 24, will feature professional and police experts addressing the issue.

The forum from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Christian Tabernacle Church will include topics such as peer pressure, teen dating violence, cyberbullying, school bullying, and gang awareness and prevention. Parents will also have the opportunity to discuss other common concerns.

The speakers will include Lania Robinson and Sheldon Franklin presenting on peer pressure; Roselle Police Officer Mike Krueger presenting on youth violence prevention; Schaumburg Police Officer Bryant Woodyard presenting on teen dating violence; Harper College professor Duboi McCarty presenting cyberbullying and school bullying; and Bartlett Police Officers Eric Tellschow and Brian Simone presenting on gang awareness and prevention.
