Kaneland 52, Hampshire 42: The Whip-Purs (0-2) jumped out to an early 20-10 lead after one quarter of play, but couldn't hold on as they were defeated by Kaneland in the consolation semifinals at the 48th Leland G. Strombom Holiday Tournament. Tyler Crater led the Whip-Purs with 12 points, all coming from behind the arc. David Wilson added 8 points while Shane Hernandez and Tyler Watzlawick chipped in 7 points each.

Elgin Academy 52, Morgan Park 40: The Hilltoppers (1-2) carried a 9-point lead into the fourth quarter and never looked back as they picked up their first victory of the season against Morgan Park at the Westminster Christian Thanksgiving Tournament. Aaron Thomas led all scorers as he poured in 17 points for the Hilltoppers. John Busano also recorded double-figures adding 12 points.

Streamwood 55, Leyden 49: Adam Acevedo (18 points) knocked down six 3-pointers to lead the Sabres (1-2) to their first victory of the year as they defeated Leyden at the Wheaton Academy Thanksgiving Tournament.

Mike Montgomery and Jerrold Ofiana also turned in double-digit performances for the Sabres as they added 12 and 11 points, respectively.

Jacobs 65, Poplar Bluff 31: The Golden Eagles (1-1) took a commanding 30-14 lead into halftime and never looked back as they easily handled Poplar Bluff to earn their first victory at the Quincy Thanksgiving Tournament. Jon Kowalski recorded double-digits and led all scorers with 14 points while turning in a perfect 6-for-6 performance from the free throw line. Nick Hofman also reached double-figures with 10 points and Collin Richman chipped in 9 points for the Golden Eagles.
