The Jacobs boys soccer team went 3-0 over the weekend and won the championship of its own tournament.

The Golden Eagles defeated Kaneland 2-0 on Friday and then downed Romeoville 3-2 and Harvard 1-0 on Saturday.

John Kowalski and Anthony Capobianco scored goals in the win over Kaneland and John Duggan made 4 saves in goal for the Golden Eagles.

In the win over Romeoville, Nate Smith, Ian Treacy and Matt Ehrhardt scored for Jacobs with Duggan and Nick Matysyk combining for 7 saves in the net.

Anthony Moscatello scored the lone goal of the game against Harvard with Duggan and Matysyk combining for 3 saves for Jacobs (13-4).

Bartlett 2, St. Charles North 2: Andrew Triantes and Fabio Aiello scored for Bartlett in this Upstate Eight Conference crossover tie. Alex Busch had 8 saves in goal for the Hawks (10-5-2).

McHenry Invite: Dundee-Crown defeated Harlem 2-1 and tied McHenry 1-1 on Saturday at the McHenry Invite. Jose Angeles and Kyle Hogan scored for the Chargers (11-6-2) against Harlem and Maurico Arellano had D-C's goal against McHenry. Scott Nowicke had 14 saves in goal in the two games for the Chargers.

Plainfield East 3, Westminster Christian 2: Josh Beachler scored both goals for the Warriors (16-5-1) in this nonconference loss. Ian Dutcher and Steve Beaur combined for 16 saves in goal for Westminster.

Cary-Grove 1, Grayslake North 0: Andy Matovina scored on a penalty kick in overtime to lift Cary-Grove (10-2-1, 7-2-0) to a win in the Fox Valley Conference. Tom Breen had 8 saves in the net for the Trojans.

Streamwood 1, Larkin 0: Jose Ortiz scored off an assist from Gilberto Alba as Streamwood (3-14-2, 2-2-0) upset Larkin in the Upstate Eight River. Jose Resendiz had 8 saves in goal for the Sabres and Santiago Guerrero made 4 stops for Larkin (11-5-1, 0-3).
