Senior Care Volunteer Network (formerly known as Faith In Action) recently announced that Sarah Schrempf has accepted the position of executive director.

Prior to joining Senior Care Volunteer Network in July 2015 as the volunteer coordinator, she has devoted 20 years to serving the community in various volunteer leadership roles.

From serving on various nonprofit boards to coordinating large community events, Schrempf has worked closely with other community leaders to achieve results that have positively impacted this community. She completed her education from the University of Phoenix with a bachelor's of science in psychology in 2010 and then continued her education at the University of Illinois Chicago obtaining a certificate in nonprofit management in 2014.

With a passion for seniors, Schrempf is committed to improving the quality of life for those wanting to remain at home and lives independently in McHenry County.

Since her philosophy directly aligns with the mission of Senior Care Volunteer Network, they feel she is the right person for the job and will take our organization to the next level.

Since 1998, the nonprofit program has served all seniors, age 60 and older, who live in McHenry County or Sun City Huntley. Its mission is to help seniors maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life by remaining in their own homes or the home of a loved one for as long as possible.

Volunteers help achieve this mission by providing services such as transportation to life-sustaining as well as life-enriching destinations, friendly visits, minor home repairs, yard work and short-term respite care all at no charge to the senior.
