Children between the ages of 2 years, 10 months and 4 years, 11 months will be evaluated in areas including cognitive development, speech and language skills, social and emotional development, gross and fine motor skills and vision and hearing. Results will determine the child's eligibility for participation in early childhood education programs and speech and language services. It is not a screening for kindergarten admission. The committee will provide art materials, boxes and snacks for community groups. The College of DuPage will coordinate a visit by servicemen and women who are graduates of area high schools. High school students of the district and their parents may visit each of the high school cafeterias at 2:45 p.m. Jan. 30 to create valentines for hospitalized veterans and service personnel here and abroad.
