Downers Grove South takes Tumbleland title

Downers Grove South's Rachel Haake placed third in the all-around and her teammates showed slightly better depth than their competition in helping the Mustangs to a victory in the Winter Tumbleland inviational hosted by Addison Trail on Saturday.

Downers Grove South won with 134.75, ahead of runner-up Buffalo Grove (134.2) and Mundelein (128.75).

Addison Trail's Alyssa Cruz won each event and totaled 37.55 on the all-around.

BG's Linda Dunne placed second on vault (9.55), parallel bars (9.05), floor exercise (9.2) and all-around (36.6) and placed third on beam (8.8).

Mundelein's top effort came from Nicole Badofsky on floor exercise (fourth, 9.05).
