Western DuPage Special Recreation Association names new foundation board member

The Western DuPage Special Recreation Association recently welcomed Zach Greenberger as a new trustee on the foundation board.

As a trustee, he will be joining the 14-member board in promoting the foundation’s mission and serving WDSRA participants and families throughout DuPage County.

Greenberger is currently the business development manager at JDA Worldwide, a full-service marketing agency headquartered out of Indianapolis. He has 15 years’ experience in the advertising and marketing agency world. Currently, he is responsible for bringing the JDA brand into the Chicago area and growing the firm’s presence.

Greenberger was drawn to the WDSRA’s mission and vision from both a personal and professional aspect. On a personal basis, he has several touch points with the community via his mother and his girlfriend, Megan, who both were involved in teaching and volunteering for special education.

On a professional basis, he recognizes the scale of impact that the organization has within the community. According to Greenberger, “my goal is to figure out how my background and local connections can continue to drive the mission and vision of the organization forward.”

As a board member, he hopes to concentrate on two things: 1.) how to grow the ability to provide more for people who depend on WDSRA and 2.) to increase the reach and awareness of the organization for families and individuals who could benefit from the programs and services.

Greenberger was born, raised and still lives in Roselle, with his girlfriend, Megan, and dog, Max. They love the outdoors, camping and random weekend getaways to lake towns in Wisconsin. He is a graduate of Illinois State University and loves heading back for Homecoming annually.

A giant sports fans, Greenberger loves the Steelers, White Sox, Red Wings, and all things Penn State. Outside of work, he stays active; be it through working out, walking his dog, long bike rides, or simply helping his niece and nephew with whatever sport is in season!
